Viktor Grigoryevich Tsyplakov (1915–1986) was a Soviet painter, People's Artist of the RSFSR, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and a two-time Stalin Prize laureate. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in 1942 (under G. M. Shegal) and began teaching there in 1948, eventually becoming a professor. He is known as a master of historical-revolutionary paintings, genre scenes, portraits, and landscapes.
