Grigory Izrailevich Tseitlin (1911–2000) was a painter, Honored Artist of Russia, and member of the USSR Union of Artists. He graduated from the Odessa Art Institute (1932), studying under A. Shovkunenko, D. Krainev, A. Gaush, and T. Fraerman. In 1940–1941, he attended courses at the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute. Renowned for his portraits and still lifes, his work is characterized by subtle color harmony and musicality. His paintings are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, art museums in Kemerovo, Voronezh, Krasnodar, and Odessa, as well as in private collections abroad.
