Dmitry Alexandrovich Shmarin (born 1967) is a Russian artist, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2011), and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2010). He graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School and the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute (under V. I. Zabelin). Since 1994, he has worked at the Russian Academy of Arts in the studio of A. P. Tkachev. He has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1995 and was awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts in 2005. His works are held in the collection of the Moscow Patriarchate, major corporate collections, and private collections in Russia and abroad.
