Elena Grigoryevna Shegal was a Soviet artist and the daughter of painter G. M. Shegal. She studied under V. N. Pochitalov and her father, graduating from the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in 1949 (S. V. Gerasimov's studio). She became a member of the USSR Union of Artists in 1949. She actively participated in exhibitions until 1978. Her works are held in the collections of the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum, the Bolshoi Theatre Museum, and various regional art museums in Russia.
