Yury Stanislavovich Podlyasky was a Russian Soviet painter and graphic artist, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. He received his initial art education under G. A. Korostelev. He graduated from the secondary art school at the I. E. Repin Institute (1942) and later from the institute itself (1942–1949), where he studied in the studio of B. V. Ioganson. He began exhibiting in 1949 and undertook numerous creative trips across the USSR and abroad. His works are held in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, and in museums and private collections in Russia, Italy, Japan, France, and other countries.
