Genrikh Vasilyevich Pavlovsky (1907–1973) was a Soviet painter and educator, and a member of the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. In 1937, he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the All-Russian Academy of Arts (A. Osmyorkin's studio). His diploma work, 'The Year 1905', was acquired by the State Russian Museum. Pavlovsky worked in the genres of historical painting, portraiture, landscape, and still life. During the Great Patriotic War, he worked in evacuation, and from 1944, he participated in the design of the Museum of the Defense of Leningrad. He taught at the I. E. Repin Institute and the V. I. Mukhina Leningrad Higher School of Art and Design. His works are held in the State Russian Museum and private collections in Russia and abroad.
