Birches, Composition No. 2

Viktor Leontyevich Nemtsev (1936, Votlany village — 2018, Cheboksary) was an Honored Artist of the Chuvash ASSR, People's Artist of the Chuvash Republic, and recipient of the Order of the Badge of Honor. He was a graduate of the Cheboksary Art School and the I. Y. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University. He taught at art schools and colleges and led the 'Ibresionists' artist group. His work focused on portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, celebrating the beauty of the Chuvash region and its people. His works are held in the Chuvash State Art Museum and other collections.
