Andrey Andreyevich Mylnikov (b. 1919) was a Soviet and Russian painter, People's Artist of the USSR (1976), full member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1966), and Hero of Socialist Labor. He graduated from the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1946), where he later taught for over 50 years and headed the monumental painting studio. He was a laureate of the Lenin Prize, two USSR State Prizes, and the I. E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 3rd and 4th classes. His works are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other major museums across the country.
