The Gardner private porcelain factory was one of the first private manufactories in Russia, founded in the 1760s. Until 1892, the enterprise operated under the name of F.Ya. Gardner, after which it was sold to M.S. Kuznetsov and became part of his partnership. In the Soviet era, the factory in Verbilki was renamed the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory. During its peak in the 19th century, the factory's products were of high quality, aligned with the Empire style, and successfully competed with the Imperial Porcelain Factory. The assortment included ceremonial tableware, genre sculpture, ethnographic groups, and items featuring views of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Since 1993, the enterprise has been known as ZAO "Farfor Verbilok".
