Vakidin Viktor

Viktor Vakidin (1911–1991) was a graphic artist, draftsman, master of engraving, illustrator, and painter. He studied at the Moscow Vkhutemas-Vkhutein (1928–1935). He worked in theatre and created monumental murals. A member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, he participated in exhibitions since 1937. His work is characterized by an intellectual approach to depicting nature. His works are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other major public and private collections.
