Tsyplakov Viktor Grigoryevich

Viktor Grigoryevich Tsyplakov was a painter, master of historical-revolutionary paintings, genre scenes, and landscapes. He was a People's Artist of the RSFSR, a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts, and a two-time laureate of the Stalin Prize. In 1942, he graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (under G. M. Shegal) and began teaching there in 1948, eventually becoming a professor. He is known for his portraits and large-scale historical compositions, such as 'Leading People of Moscow in the Kremlin'.
