Tkachev Sergey, Alexey Petrovich

Sergey Petrovich Tkachev and Alexey Petrovich Tkachev were People's Artists of the USSR, full members of the USSR Academy of Arts, and recipients of state awards. The creative duo of the Tkachev brothers formed after Sergey graduated from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute. Their work focused on the Russian village and the national character. Their works are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other museum collections.
