Titov Ivan Filippovich

Ivan Filippovich Titov was a People's Artist of Russia, a Soviet painter, a founder of Soviet marine art, and a master of thematic painting. From 1924 to 1930, he studied at the Leningrad Academy of Arts and graduated from the Higher Art and Technical Institute. He served as the chief artist of the magazine 'Ogonyok', headed the LOSSKh publishing house, and worked with the M.B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists. His works are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, and other collections.
