Tatarinov German Alekseevich
1925 — 2006
German Alekseevich Tatarinov was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR, a Soviet and Russian painter, graphic artist, and member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. In 1942 he was drafted into the army, fought at Stalingrad and in the Far East, and was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals for victory over Japan and Germany. In 1952 he graduated from the Leningrad Naval Political School. He studied by correspondence at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1953–1961) under G. Epifanov. From 1967 he participated in Leningrad artists' exhibitions. In 1972 he was accepted into the Leningrad Union of Artists. He painted landscapes, still lifes, and genre compositions, working predominantly in landscape painting. His works are held in private collections in Russia and abroad.
