Radimov Pavel Alexandrovich

Pavel Alexandrovich Radimov was a Russian Soviet artist and poet, the last chairman of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (Peredvizhniki) and the first chairman of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AKhRR). He graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Kazan University and taught art history at the Kazan Art School. In 1914, he became a member of the Peredvizhniki. In 1922, he participated in the founding of the AKhRR. His artistic career evolved from landscape-descriptive lyricism to works reflecting Soviet themes. He is the author of the poetry collection "The Village" (1922).
