Novikov Nikolai Fedorovich

Nikolai Fedorovich Novikov (born 1922) is a painter and People's Artist of Russia. He graduated from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Institute of Art in 1949, where he studied under I.E. Grabar, S.V. Gerasimov, N.H. Maksimov, and P.P. Konchalovsky. He has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1949 and was named an Honored Artist of Russia in 1980. He has been actively involved in the administration of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Moscow Union of Artists. Exhibiting since 1950, he works in portraiture, thematic painting, and landscape. His works are held in the collections of the A.N. Radishchev Saratov State Art Museum, the Almaty Art Gallery, the Tatar Museum of Fine Arts, and private collections in Russia, Japan, France, and Germany.
