Murnieks Laimdots

Laimdots Murnieks was a Latvian painter and a member of the USSR Union of Artists. He graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia in 1953. He worked in monumental and easel painting, creating landscapes, still lifes, and portraits using various techniques (oil, pastel, tempera). From 1953 to 1982, he worked as a designer at the "Māksla" combine. He held several solo exhibitions in Riga, Liepaja, Vilnius, Moscow, Rostock, and Tokyo.
