Maksimov Kondrat Yevdokimovich

Kondrat Yevdokimovich Maksimov (1894–1981) was a painter, People's Artist of the Tatar ASSR, and Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He graduated from the Kazan Art School in 1917. From 1936, he was a member of the "Tatkhudozhnik" creative association. He is known as a master of landscape and still life, particularly for his depictions of coniferous forests and the banks of the Volga and Kama rivers. Significant works include "Pine Forest. Road to the Kama" (1953) and "Disturbed Silence" (1966). In addition to painting, he was an inventor. His works are held in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
