Krantz Vladimir Pavlovich

Vladimir Pavlovich Krantz (1913–2003) was a Soviet painter, landscape artist, and member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Leningrad Institute of Municipal Construction Engineers in 1940. From 1947, he studied in the studio of S. G. Nevelshtein. Starting in 1958, he participated in exhibitions and gained fame as a master of lyrical landscape. He painted the surroundings of Leningrad and traveled to the Urals and Lake Baikal for creative work. His works are held in museums and private collections in Russia, the USA, Japan, Germany, Norway, and Belgium.
