Igoshev Vladimir Alexandrovich

Vladimir Alexandrovich Igoshev (1921–2007) was a painter, People's Artist of the USSR, and laureate of the I. E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War, he graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in 1950, where he studied under G. Ryazhsky, D. K. Mochalsky, and V. V. Pochitalov. From the 1950s, he lived and worked in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. His works are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
