Gardner Porcelain Factory

The Gardner private porcelain factory was one of the first private manufactories in Russia, founded in the 1760s. Until 1892, the enterprise operated under the name F.Y. Gardner, after which it became part of the M.S. Kuznetsov partnership. In the Soviet era, the factory in Verbilki was renamed the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory. In the 19th century, the factory's products were noted for their high quality, adhering to the Empire style and developing genre sculpture, including ethnographic series and battle scenes. Since 1993, the enterprise has operated as CJSC "Farfor Verbilok".
