Fedosov Nikita Petrovich

Nikita Petrovich Fedosov (1939–1992) was a prominent Soviet painter and a master of psychological landscape. He graduated from the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in 1962 (workshop of D.K. Mochalsky) and continued his studies at the Creative Workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR under B.V. Ioganson. Fedosov's work evolved from thematic paintings to landscape art, where he achieved mastery in conveying the subtle moods of nature. His works occupy an important place in the history of the Russian realistic school. His paintings are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Tver Regional Art Gallery, the Tula Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Prima Gallery, and private collections.
