Britov Kim Nikolaevich

Kim Nikolaevich Britov was a People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and one of the founders of the 'Vladimir School' of landscape painting. He was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. He studied at the Mstera Art School and at the studio of the House of Folk Art in Vladimir under N. P. Sychev. In 1954, he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR, and from 1956 to 1965, he headed the Vladimir branch of the Union of Artists. His work is characterized by its decorative quality and vibrant color palettes. His works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and various international collections.
